By creating an account or using the PAIS Farm Management System ("PAIS"), you agree to the following terms and our Privacy Policy. These terms incorporate compliance with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Please read them carefully before proceeding.
By accessing or using PAIS, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and all applicable laws, including POPIA. If you do not agree, you should not use PAIS.
To use certain features of PAIS, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account details and all activities under your account.
We are committed to ensuring the privacy and protection of all personal information in accordance with POPIA. This includes, but is not limited to, safeguarding your farm’s data, personal details, and any other sensitive information.
Collection and Use of Data: We collect your data to provide and improve the PAIS platform. This data is not shared with third parties without your explicit consent, except where required by law.
Data Sharing Restrictions: Under POPIA, you retain full control over your data. PAIS will not allow the analysis or delineation of neighboring farms or properties unless express consent has been provided by the neighboring farm owner.
Protection of Sensitive Information: Any analysis performed on your farm data will be used solely for the management and optimization of your farming activities. You have the right to request access to, or deletion of, your personal data at any time.
POPIA restricts the collection and use of data for farms that do not belong to the user. You agree not to attempt to analyze, delineate, or collect data from neighboring farms or properties unless you have explicit permission from the neighboring farm’s owner. PAIS is designed to only process the data you provide, and any misuse of the platform to infringe upon the privacy rights of others is strictly prohibited.
You agree not to use PAIS for any activities that violate POPIA, including, but not limited to, unlawfully collecting or processing data of neighboring farms without consent. Any misuse of the platform may result in the suspension or termination of your account and legal action where applicable.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms and our Privacy Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of PAIS after such changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
